Course Description:
Art 2-Drawing and Painting , is a second level Visual Arts class with an emphasis on Studio Drawing and Painting skills, tools, techniques, and related concepts . Art 2 is designed to further develop and challenge young artists by building upon the fundamentals introduced in Art 1. Art 2 is primarily a studio based class, but there will be some reading, writing, and class discussions of Art History. This course uses a variety of assignments and hands-on projects designed to strengthen a student’s Art related Knowledge, creative problem solving and communication skills.
Pre-requisites:
Students should have had, Art 1 before enrolling in Art 2 ( or the permission of the instructor)
Requirements:
You will need to keep a sketch or notebook with ideas, drawing, and/or class notes. You will be required to turn in a portfolio of your best work at the end of the year. For other requirements please read through the class syllabus attached below.
