Art 1 in an A-G approved course, and is designed to be an introductory art course that provides a basic survey of Visual Arts: Skills/techniques, and knowledge. You must take Art 1 before taking Art 2, Art 3, Digital Art, Photo, and Ceramics (Pottery)
Art 1 Students will be expected to analyze, create, and respond to works of art, objects, events, and things in their environment. Students will be required to demonstrate a proficiency in art related theories, skills, and techniques taught through class discussions, the completion of art projects, and writing assignments.
Upper class-men, be aware that this class will start slow, then speed up as the semester wears on. We will spend as long as needed on assignments, however, do not rush as incomplete or sloppy work will not earn you a good grade.
